About Novartis

Think what’s possible... as a Postdoc in Epigenetics

Would you like to contribute to innovative research with the goal of improving human health?

The Novartis Institutes for BioMedical Research (NIBR) in collaboration with the Friedrich Miescher Institute (FMI; a research institute of NIBR) in Basel, Switzerland has a variety of postdoctoral positions in the area of epigenetics, focusing on the interface with regenerative medicine, neuroscience, etiology of cancer and immune disorders, and structural biology.

The NIBR and FMI postdoctoral programs are known for providing excellent training in research. These collaborative NIBR-FMI postdoctoral fellowships provide talented scientists with the unique opportunity to conduct innovative, interdisciplinary research simultaneously in a pharmaceutical setting (NIBR) and at an academic institute (FMI). Postdoctoral fellows will be co-mentored by NIBR and FMI principal investigators and will develop their projects in consultation with both mentors.

PhD students in the last year of their doctoral research, as well as postdoctoral fellows within three years of obtaining their PhD, are eligible to apply. All fellowships are for a single three-year term.

To apply, please visit the Postdoctoral positions page and upload your cover letter and CV via the link to the Presidential Postdoctoral Fellowships job description, specifying in your cover letter that you are applying for a NIBR-FMI postdoctoral fellowship. The application steps will be similar to those for the Presidential Fellowships.

Novartis and FMI are equal opportunity employers committed to embracing and leveraging diverse backgrounds.
